The Industry of Life Divine Makes a Comeback

In the words of lead singer and founder of iconic industrial band The Industry of Life Divine, Garrison Greco, his production is best described as “urbane electronica badass dancey art.” The Industry of Life Divine has been thrilling local music scene audiences with their interactive performances in the NYC, Toronto, Pittsburgh, and DC areas as far back as 1995.
With their roots firmly planted in Buffalo, Industry is considered one of the founding fathers of the local industrial scene, and more specifically, a pioneering influence of the golden era of Buffalo nightlife, when big bars and clubs reigned in Buffalo and the club and bar scene was much larger. The band has made their rounds at many of the city’s popular venues, such as Club Marcella’s, The Waiting Room, Mohawk Place, and The Evening Star.
The band is a mix of new members and old (Some have just joined this past year, others have been around since the dawn of its existence), but creative license is always granted in liberty and labels aren’t a factor; says guitarist Arrow Fitzgibbons, “We’re not old school or new school. We’re our own school. We make the rules.”
Grisly vocals accompanied by choppy synths, tongue-in-cheek samples, and distortion control are what define Industry’s classic and reinventive style. This Thanksgiving Eve, they’re reinventing the wheel yet again with a special performance at Mohawk Place. Be prepared for a James Bondy-themed evening of menacingly good looks, deconstructed dance moves, and hedonistic desire.

“We were the first local dance/industrial band ever in Buffalo. Lots of current younger industrial bands don’t know that, but some do.”

-Band founder and lead singer, Garrison Greco
